Life Legacy James Freed Maloney III, native and lifelong resident of Salinas, passed away on December 16, 2015 in Salinas. Born on January 1, 1950 to James and Beverly Maloney. James proudly served in the U.S. Army. He then went on to work as a welder in manufacturing. James was a fun-loving man who enjoyed good times with the people he loved. He loved music and especially playing guitar. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. James is survived by, his sons, James and Matthew Maloney mother, Beverly Maloney sister, Cynthia Maloney beloved nieces, Morgan Maloney and Amber Haran along with numerous grandchildren and other loving family and friends. He is preceded in death by, his wife, Phyllis Maloney father, Jim Maloney and his brother, Blaine, Maloney. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
