48 of Saint Petersburg went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2012 while at the Woodside Hospice House. Born in Suffern, NY, he attended Suffern H.S., was a past member of Suffern Hook & Ladder and a current member of the Seminole Eagles 4147. Jim moved to Florida in 1986 where he met and married his wife Bobbi of 23 years. Together they have 2 beautiful children; daughter Kristi and son Cody. Jim is also survived by his loving parents James & Carol Matthews of St. Petersburg Fla., his sister Lori and brother in-law James Dent of Oakland, NJ and their children who dearly loved their Uncle Jimmy; Christopher, Jennifer and Lisa, his great Aunt Kitty Crowding of Boynton Beach, Fla., Aunt Pat and Uncle Bob Boyce and cousin Alyssa of Castleberry, Fla., his first cousins Linda and Anthony Marsella, Billy Devlin and Suzie Whitaker of St. Petersburg, Fla., his NJ cousins John Baxter, Carol & Dennis Kaney and Butch Wanamaker, his great Aunt Bernice and Uncle Jack, his Aunt Jirdes and his many cousins in Alaska and many friends from "RIO" where his favorite childhood memories were made. Jim was an ASE Master Tech and never came across something he couldn't fix. He spent his childhood taking everything apart and his adult days putting everything back together like no one else could. His passion was "Family 1st", camping, hunting, boating, fishing, racing cars and telling stories the way he liked to live life, his way! Donations may be made in his name to Suncoast Hospice House Woodside, 6770 102nd Ave North, Pinellas Park, Fl, 33782. Please join us Saturday, July 7th for a celebration of life at 2:00 p.m. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes @ 7820 38th Ave. N. in St. Petersburg, FL.
