JAMES MATTOON James Patrick Mattoon, age 52, passed Monday, April 9 after battling a long illness. He died peacefully at a nursing care facility in Chico. James is survived by his wife, Valerie Mattoon; father, Sterling Mattoon; sisters, Lynn Marie Lourdes and Julie Garnett; Brothers Randall Mattoon and Michael Mattoon. James had three children; Samantha, James and Tyler, as well as Valerie's children Ian and Alexis. He is preceded in death by his mother Eileen Mattoon. Cremation and memorial services are being arranged through Brusie Funeral Home in Chico. Those wishing to attend services are asked to visit www.brusiefh.com or call Brusie at (530) 342-5642 for information. Family is requesting for the memorial service, to please bring a main or side dish or a dessert. It will be a potluck and are asking for everyone to wear cheerful and artful colors.
