James "Jim" McBride Jr

McBride, James Jr "Jim", 82 of Largo Florida passed away July 4, 2023 at Largo Hospital. He was born December 25, 1940, in Danbury Connecticut son of the late James and Marjorie (Teater) McBride. He graduated New Milford High School in 1959 and served in the United States Airforce from 1959-1963. He was employed at Scoville/Century Brass for 16 years and then self employed in Transportation until he retired. Jim enjoyed playing shuffleboard,watching the New York Giants and going to baseball games with his family. We will deeply miss our conversations,advice and laughter with our very own "wise old owl" . Jim is survived by his sons, James McBride(Tracy) of Safety Harbor and Kevin McBride of New Port Richey; grandsons, Christopher (Bianca), Nicholas, Brent Lee;granddaughter, KC Linn (Andrew) and 7 great grandchildren. His brothers, Patrick McBride of New Milford, Connecticut, Raymond McBride (Maureen) of Torrington and Matthew McBride (Diane) of Enfield. He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard McBride, Edward McBride and Donald McBride (Helen). His sisters, Catherine Kimlin (Henry), Dorothy Langley (Frank), Marjorie Skoog (Gene)and Barbara McBride. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Largo Florida with burial to take place in Center Cemetery in New Milford, Connecticut.
