James "Jim" Pauch
September 15th, 1940 - August 11th, 2017
Pauch, James Charles, age 76, of Saint Petersburg placed his last bet on Friday, August 11th, 2017, at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, surrounded by his loving family. James was born in Bedford, IN, on September 15, 1940 to the late James Charles Pauch Sr. and Frances Bridwell Pauch. He graduated from Hammond High School class of 1958 in Hammond, IN and was a veteran of the United States Army. He moved to Florida in 1964 and married Sara Bailey on June 26, 1965. James is survived by his wife of 52 years; daughter, Heidi and her husband Justin of Orange Park, FL, son, Nick of Valrico, FL, and daughter Kelly and her husband Brian of St. Petersburg, FL; 4 grandchildren, Andy and Avery of Orange Park, Bailey of Valrico, and Brody of St. Petersburg. He is also survived by his sister Carol Pauch Johnson of Edinburgh, IN. He was predeceased by his sister Linda Pauch Koby and his son Jimmy. James was the owner/operator of Rayco Auto Upholstery for 46 years and served as Past Master of the Nitram Lodge #188, 32nd degree Mason and a Noble of Egypt Temple Shrine. He was a professional blackjack player, a huge Rays fan and a devoted family man. He never met a stranger and was the most kind, generous, witty, and full of wildly inappropriate comments man to walk the streets of St. Petersburg. There will be a memorial service on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 7:00 pm, at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes, 7820 38th Avenue North. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of our son Jimmy who passed at the age of 8 in 1976 from Leukemia.
