James Cecil Pruett

James C. Pruett Jr., 77, of Arvada Colorado passed away Friday September 4th, 2015 doing what he loved, dancing. He was born March 27, 1938 in Denver Colorado to the late James C. Pruett Sr. and Linnea J. Hauge. He is predeceased by his son James C. Pruett III, and survived by his daughters DeAnna L. Pruett-Boushele and Elizabeth Pruett Gavin, his brother Phillip W. Pruett, and granddaughters Sandy Tanner and Sonja Bowles. Jim served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1962 on the USS Ticonderoga aircraft carrier. He was a graduate of Lakewood High School and Southern Colorado Community College. He was a retired Electronics Technician having worked for 27 year for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden Colorado. His favorite pastimes including riding motorcycles, playing guitar, creating LED lights, and target shooting. In his later years, he was a passionate ballroom dancer who brought light and love to everyone in the dance hall. The after memorial service will be: Elks Lodge 1455 Newland St, Lakewood, CO 80214 12-4pm Lunch will be served All are welcome. There will be an opportunity for anyone who would like to speak, to tell stories about their experiences with Jim.
