James Dale Ritchie
April 11th, 1936 - May 24th, 2018
James Dale Ritchie aka Jim or Jimmy Dale, 82, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on the 4th of May, 2018, due to natural causes. Jim was born in Lorain, Ohio on April 11, 1936. He graduated from Lorain High School class of 1954A and continued for two years at Ohio University. Jim was married to Patricia Ann Tremor on December 10th, 1960. From that union came daughter, Shannon Rene’ Ritchie. Born January 20th, 1969. He then married Jane Marie Stull on November 7th, 1970. Jim worked while in Lorain at Lorain Products Corp. Then PC Campana as a welder, which transferred him to Fontana, CA. They lived in California where they enjoyed horse related activities. Jim was a member of the San Bernardino County Mounted Patrol. They moved one more time to Loveland, Colorado in 1978. He was a truck driver for Larimer Equipment for 10 years then drove for various equipment rental companies. Retiring at age 73. He also became a member of the Larimer County Mounted Patrol. He was baptized and became very involved in church and Bible study activities. He was a lifelong fan of John Wayne and spent many hours watching Westerns. In his earlier days he enjoyed bowling and boating. He also loved and enjoyed Golden retrievers for 45 years. Jim is survived by beloved wife of 47 years, Janie Ritchie; daughter, Shannon Ritchie and grandchildren Adriana and Ryan Watson. He also has several Nieces and Nephews. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Ritchie, mother Beatrice Rothfuss and Sister Merilyn McCarty. The Memorial service will be held at Hope Baptist Church located 5688 McWhinney Blvd, Loveland, CO 80538 at 1:30pm on Sunday, June 10th, 2018. Edward Barclay of Hope Baptist Church will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to your favorite animal charity.
