James M Romain
August 8th, 1969 - March 25th, 2021
James M. Romain, 51, of Port Canaveral, Florida passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 25, 2021. Born on August 8, 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents John M. Romain and Helen M. Murphy. James was a 15-year resident of the sunshine state and had spent the last six of them in Cape Canaveral. Jim was the proud father of Maddox X. Romain, and was always pulling out photos of his son for everyone to see. He had a lifelong career working in the casino industry as a dealer, and later a manager. He made lifelong friends during his time at the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, and at the Hard Rock and Victory Casino Cruise in Florida. As many knew, Jim loved shooting pool and dominated at the billiard halls. He played in many tournaments and was a constant winner! Jim is predeceased by his father, John M. Romain Sr. and survived by his mother, Helene Lawless; son, Maddox Romain; sisters, Helen Renyo (Jason), Delores Knapp (Jim), Tina Bassett; brothers, John Romain Jr, Richard Readdy, and James Readdy. To honor Jim, we are inviting friends and family for a Celebration of Life on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 6pm on the beach located at Cherie Down Park in Cape Canaveral.
