James Eugene Sarver

Mr. James Sarver, age 79, of Englewood FL, passed away on Tuesday April 25, 2023. Jim was born on April 17, 1944 in Tazwell County, VA to the late Frank and Virginia Shrader Sarver. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Sarver and his brothers; Dannie, Donnie, Ricky, and Bill. Jim spent his childhood years in Bluewell, WV. He lived in Newark, DE, Elkton, MD, Pompano Beach, FL, and retired in Englewood, FL. Jim worked as a grocery manager for years before starting his own trucking business. He was also a long time member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Fraternal Organization of Eagles. Jim spent his time at the beach, enjoying his family, buying and selling many vehicles, living his motto "If it don't shine, it ain't mine", and telling every story he could remember to anyone that he met. Jim never met a stranger. Left to cherish his memory are; his significant other, Charlene Carroll of Englewood, FL; son James "Ed" Sarver of Marion, NC, son Randy Sarver and wife Joanne of Fountain, NC; sister Gail Simmons of Pompano Beach, FL; sister-in-law Joyce Sarver of Bluewell, WV; and grandchildren Emily, Julianna, Sierra, Ryan, and Tyler; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends from Elkton to Englewood. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the near future.
