James William Sneed

SNEED, James W. “Jim”, 80, of Seffner, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017. Jim was born in Maud, OH and moved to Tampa from Pt. Pleasant, OH in 1962. He served in the United States Navy, was a member of the Hillsborough River Riders and East Point little league; Jim enjoyed reading, horseback riding, camping, picking vegetables, crabbing and watching sports. Jim was an avid Gators fan and enjoyed getting the truck stuck in the woods with George. Jim is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Nancy; his four children; Cathy Byrnes, Karen Pelc, Jim Sneed (wife Denise), and Sandra Sneed; his seven grandchildren; Lori, Charles, Jennifer (Carl), Kelli, Mallory (Jordan), Matthew and Cole; as well as his three great grandchildren; Charles, Samuel and Annabelle. He is also survived by his brother Jack Sneed; his sister Wanda Salyers (husband Dallas) and many nieces and nephews. Jim was loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will take place at Florida Mortuary on Wednesday, December 27th at 10:00 AM. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
