Online Obituaries for Frankfort, KY James Louis Stivers, 83, husband of Joyce Hedden Stivers, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2017. A native of Frankfort, he was born on November 18, 1933 to the late George Buck and Hattie Lee Norton Stivers. He was self-employed as a mechanic. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Jana Lee (Douglas) Peyton, Frankfort, and Judy Jackson, TN; his sons, James Louis Stivers, TN, and Tommy Wayne (Patricia) Stivers, Lexington; his sister, Betty Wentworth, Frankfort; his brothers, Darnel Stivers, Frankfort, and Ray Stivers, Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 2 special friends, David and Teresa Parker. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Stivers; his son, Michael Edward Stivers; his sister, Lucy Brewer; and his brothers, Robert Stivers, William Stivers, Joe Stivers, Leo Stivers, and Alex Stivers. Funeral Information Graveside service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dale Wethington will officiate. Serving as casketbearers will be Ned Stivers, Darrell Engler, Ricky Wentworth, David Parker, and Gabe Wentworth. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd.
