James "Sam" E Sutherland

James E. “Sam” Sutherland, 71, passed away, Tuesday, December 24, 2019. He was born May 23, 1948 in Versailles, KY to James and Gladys Slugantz Sutherland. Sam was a farmer until his retirement. He was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church. Including his parents, Sam is survived by a son, Brian E. Sutherland, Versailles; a daughter, Angela K. Sutherland, Versailles; and a brother, Larry W. Sutherland (Connie), Versailles. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm, Monday, December 30, 2019 at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill; officiating will be Rev. Dave Menser. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort. Casketbearers will be Jamie Sutherland, Aaron Sutherland, Luke Lewis, Kenneth Slugantz, Keith Slugantz and David Sutherland; Honorary Casketbearers will be Hunter Sutherland, Steve Slugantz, Hallee Sutherland and Victoria McDaniel. Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm, at the funeral home prior to funeral service.
