James E. Wages, Jr., born on January 28, 1950, peacefully departed this world on Saturday, January 6, 2024. He was retired after a long career at Southeastern Freight Lines. He is survived by his children, Chris & Mandi Wages & grandchildren, Davis & Morgan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Wages & his parents, James & Alice Wages of Lexington. He was an avid outdoorsman who shared his passion with his children & grandchildren. After cremation, his final wishes were for his ashes to be spread in Beaufort, SC, where he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Thompson Funeral Home is handling the visitation for the family on Monday, January 15th, from 3-5pm.
