James Richard Walker “Jamie”, 57, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. A native of Frankfort, he was born on June 11, 1965 to the late James T. Walker Jr. and Florene Manley Surber. He was a self-employed Crane Operator and mechanic. He was a great loving, caring and genuine person with a good heart; he was loved by everyone. Jamie was honest and believed in sharing the wealth. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters, Renee (Brent) Salley, Georgetown, Jessica Walker, SD, Marissa Walker Hall, Harrodsburg, Alexia Walker, Frankfort, and Karissa Walker Hammonds, Harrodsburg; his son, Little Jamie Walker, NC; his sisters, Melisa Walker, Frankfort and Cecilia Surber, Lexington; his brothers, Allen (Shannon) Walker, Frankfort, Dale (Sherry) Walker, NC, and Russell Surber “Rusty”, NC; his grandchildren, Nevaeh, Little Bill, Jr., Kaden, Jaxson, and Willow; as well as his great granddaughter, Everlea. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Don Jackson officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be James Richard Walker Jr., Allen Walker, Kody Walker, Jacob Velez, Wayne Wainscott, and Gary Callison. Honorary casketbearers will be A.J. Grigsby and Brent Salley. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd to help the family with the cost of services.
