James E. Waters, 79, died in his home in Satellite Beach, FL on October 27, 2009 in the care of his loving family. Jim was born in Salem, MA in 1930, and attended Boston College and Harvard Business School after service in the US Air Force during the Korean War. His successful career in financial management took him and his family across the country and to the Caribbean, working in both the airline and hotel/casino industries. He settled in Satellite Beach, FL in 1997, in semi-retirement, though he continued working in seasonal tax preparation for another 10 years. His life was made full by his commitment to his family, and his faith. He was the widower of Patricia McDonald Waters of Arlington, MA; and is survived by his brother, Edward of Peabody, MA; his five children, Christopher, Margaret, Edward, Jennifer and Katherine; and his eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Waters O'Neill of Concord, MA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Holy Name of Jesus Church Chapel in Indialantic, FL, beginning at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
