James Donovan Wilkerson

WILKERSON, James D. “Jim”, 88, of Tampa, Florida passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011. He was born in Hamlin, West Virginia and moved to Florida from Indiana in 1953. Jim was a U.S. Marine Veteran and served during WWII. He retired as a personnel manager with Allstate Insurance Company. Jim was a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church in Tampa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Lester. Jim is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty; son, Jim, Jr. and his wife, Grace; daughter, Jan Wilkerson; grandchildren, Doug Wilkerson, Sarah Hunt and her husband, Steven and their mother, Beth Wilkerson and great grandson, Finlay Hunt. Jim’s final resting place will be in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
