James Harry Wissing

James Harry Wissing, 84, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend died peacefully September 4, 2016 at home. He is a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was born November 7, 1931 in Lester, PA to Ferdinand and Ella (nee Ewert) Wissing. Mr. Wissing is preceded in death by his wife, Carole Jean Wissing (nee Burnham), and his son Craig Wissing. A carpenter by trade, Mr. Wissing also worked in the pipe fitting industry for Electric Boat General Dynamics for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, enjoyed the peacefulness of looking out over the lakes, and truly enjoyed college and professional football. His favorite team was the Colts, and favorite player was Peyton Manning. Mr. Wissing is survived by four sons; James (Wendy) Wissing, Stephan Wissing, Kevin Wisssing, and Glenn (Paula) Wissing, and one daughter, Ellisa Hall. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and countless friends whose hearts he has touched over the years. His strength, love, and integrity will be greatly missed. "We love you and ALWAYS will". A "Celebration of Life" will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, 209 San Mateo Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico between 10:00 am and noon. Floral donations can be sent to Riverside Funeral Home Chapel, 225 San Mateo Blvd. NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Burial will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery (military cemetery), located at 501 North Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501 at 2:15 pm.
