Jan M. Christy

Byron, Georgia – Jan Montford Christy, 69, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 27, 2021. A Graveside service honoring the life of Jan will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 in the Mausoleum at Parkway Memorial Gardens. Jan was born on May 29, 1952 in Macon, Georgia to the late Martha R. and Wendyll E. Montford. Jan was a very loving individual who always put the needs of others prior to her own. She was a very devoted mother where she served as her son, Scott’s primary care giver for over thirty years. Jan had a heart of gold and she would share the love she had within to anyone. In Jan’s free time she could often times be found cooking or canning goods for those she loved. While she loved her son and husband with all of her heart, most importantly she loved her savior Jesus Christ above all. Left to cherish Jan’s memory is her beloved husband of the last 46 years, Elbridge “Darrell” Christy; Son, Elbridge “Scott” Christy; Niece, Julie Caldwell (Ben); Nephew, Brandon Christy (Cara); Great Nephews, Dylan, Jake, Luke, Seth, Joseph, Connor; Great Niece, Callie. Jan is also survived by many extended family members and friends who she had cherished memories and laughs with.
