Jan (JW) Warren Williams passed away Sept 19, 2021 surrounded by family. Jan was born Oct 13, 1948 in Portland Oregon. He spent his life in the Portland area beginning work in his north Portland community and eventually for Crown Zellerbach Paper Company from which he retired after 28 years. He married Cheryl Carling and had two sons before divorcing and also met and developed a relationship with his daughter. Jan enjoyed sports, was an overall competitive athlete including bowling, tennis and running, and had achieved 2nd degree Black Belt status in Karate. He had watched every Superbowl since its inception developing his love of football. Jan loved all animals, fed backyard squirrels and birds and was a caring cat owner who generously made contributions to local and national organizations that involved animal care and services. Jan leaves behind three children, Destry Williams, Tory Williams and Deanna Doney. He also leaves brother Val Williams and sister LiAne Dalton. JW also leaves behind countless friends who impacted his life positively. A celebration of life will be forthcoming.
