Jane C Hackett
March 31st, 1919 - February 15th, 2015
Jane C. Hackett passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. Born March 31, 1919 in Galion, Ohio. Jane was a registered nurse for over 50 years. Received her education at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH and BS and MS degrees from the UofA. Jane worked in various areas in nursing and finishing as the Education Director at Tucson General Hospital before her retirement. Jane went on to volunteer and was employed later by the 390 Memorial Museum at the Pima Air Museum. Jane belonged to various professional organizations in Tucson and Arizona. Traveling was a favorite activity especially visiting with her family that was scattered throughout the states. She especially enjoyed doing the crosswords puzzles in the newspaper and reading. Jane was preceded in death by infant son, John Anthony, both of her parents, her husband's, Webster Brown and Robert Hackett, Sr. Jane is survived by children, Shylah McNellis, Kathleen (Dennis) Gagen, David (Ernie Lawrence) Rau; stepchildren, Martin (Debra) Brown, Robert (Lil) Hackett, Jr. and Susan (James) Forbes. There are nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Jane also leaves a brother, Willmond (Shirley) Cook; sister, Martha Hasenyager; nieces and nephews and many special friends especially Darlene Streicher. A special thanks for her care by Casa de la Luz hospice and Handmaker Jewish Services. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 915 E. 4th St. Arrangements by ADAIR FUNERAL HOMES, Dodge Chapel.
