Jane McLaughlin

McLaughlin, Jane (nee Szafoni) Of Waukesha and formerly Chicago, Illinois passed away peacefully with family by her side Tuesday March 20, 2018 at the age of 59. Jane was the loving wife of Daniel "Dan" McLaughlin (32 years) and unbelievably caring mother of Matthew "Matt" and Ryan. Born on December 25th, 1958 in Chicago, daughter to Raymond and Margaret Szafoni, sister to Robert "Bob" Szafoni and sister in law to Diane Szafoni (Brennan). After spending 7 years together with her husband Dan in Chicago they moved to Wisconsin in 1992 where Jane began working at St. Anthony on the Lake parish in Pewaukee. Jane worked at the parish for over 20 years. She loved the work she did at the parish along with interior decorating, photography, watching the Brewers, working at home in her gardens and most importantly spending time at home. While Jane loved vacations-especially to warm beaches-home was Jane's favorite place in the world, she would constantly say, "It's so good to be home." She was godmother to a few, aunt to some, cousin to many and most importantly, a friend to everyone she met. Jane, a listener with a great sense of humor always put other people before herself and lived her life caring for and helping others. She will be missed greatly by everyone she met.
