Jane Ann Wagner
January 4th, 1935 - January 20th, 2016
JANE A. WAGNER, age 81, of Jefferson passed away Wednesday January 20, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 4, 1935 in Brockville, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (Herold) Suchomel. She married Frederick "Fritz" Wagner on September 8, 1956 in Kellnersville, WI; he preceded her in death on March 17, 2008. Jane graduated with a B.S. in chemistry from UW-Madison and was employed at Tyson Foods for 30 years as a Microbiologist, retiring in 2014. She was a longtime member of the Blackhawk Auto Club and enjoyed classic cars and road rallies. Jane enjoyed traveling worldwide, including recent trips to Peru, Myanmar, Columbia, India, the Galapagos Islands, Panama, Austria, and most recently Cuba. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and working on her outside landscaping. She will be deeply missed by her family, daughters Laurie (Jay) Rumpf of Rochester, WI and Lynn (Kelly) Wildes of Arbor Vitae, WI, sons John (Nancy) Wagner of Greenleaf, WI, Richard (Michelle) Wagner of Idaho Falls, ID, and Robert (Debra) Wagner of Fredonia, WI; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Brian) Gallick, Jessica Rumpf, Allisen (Derrick) Duncan, Michelle Wagner, Jacob and Zachary Wagner, and Tanner and Jordan Wildes; four great grandchildren, Teigan, Asher and Blair Gallick, and Scarlet Duncan; sisters Jean Suchomel of Madison and Anne (Michael) Hayes of Los Altos, CA; and brother Joseph "Joe" Suchomel of Whitelaw, WI. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fritz, and one brother John "Jack" Suchomel. A Celebration of Jane's life will take place on Saturday, January 30th at noon at Jane's house. In lieu of flowers contributions to Jane's favorite charities may be made in her memory.
