Jane Weech
November 3rd, 2011
Dear Weech Family Supporters, Jane passed away peacefully in her sleep at home early on Thursday morning. She was surrounded by loved ones in her final hours. Chris, Liz and Jo stayed home from middle school on Wednesday. Alec came home from college Wednesday evening. Jane’s brother Paul and his wife Virginia arrived from Ohio Wednesday afternoon. Sisters-in-law Nancy Sinick and Ellen Suthers were also with us this week. Fulfilling one of Jane’s dying wishes, Liz moved her harp to the bedroom and played soothing music as Jane drew some of her final breaths. Jane’s final meal (although we did not know it was such at the time) was Nielsen’s frozen custard – chocolate, of course. We plan to hold a service celebrating Jane’s life at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Fairfax on Saturday, November 12 at 1:00 pm. UUCF is located at 2709 Hunter Mill Road, Oakton, VA 22124. There will be a reception at the Weech residence afterwards. Our home is located at 9812 Meadow Knoll Court, Vienna, VA 22181. In lieu of flowers, we suggest that people wishing to make a memorial donation consider an appropriate organization such as one of the following: Weech Family College Fund 9812 Meadow Knoll Court Vienna, VA 22181 Foundation for Women’s Cancer 230 W. Monroe, Suite 2528 Chicago, Il. 60606-4703 Your love and support have given strength and comfort to Jane and all of the Weeches during these difficult times. We are grateful to have you as our family, friends, and neighbors. Love from our family to yours, Bill, Alec, Chris, Liz and Jo
