Janet Elizabeth (Comegys) Antonine Janet Elizabeth (Comegys) Antonine, 79, passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2022, following a long battle with cancer. She passed in Treasure Island, Florida with her husband, Pasquale (Pat) and daughter Lynn by her side. Janet was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on April 13, 1942, to Francis and Ethel (Gilmore) Comegys. She graduated from P.S. DuPont High School and Goldey-Beacom College, and became an Editor for Astra Zeneca. Janet and Pat met at the Armory Dance in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1963. They married on May 1, 1965, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, and resided in Wilmington, with their two children; Lynn (Chickie) and John for many, many years. Janet and Pat later retired to Treasure Island, Florida, with their immediate family. Janet was predeceased by her mother and father; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lewis and Rosaria (DiMauro) Graham; her beloved Aunt Jessie Gilmore; brothers-in-law, Ralphie Antonine, Lewis Graham, Stephen Graham, and Robert Snitch; and sister-in-law Josephine (Dolly) Shivery. Janet is survived by her beloved husband Pat; daughter Lynn; son John (Tracy); grandchildren Theresa O'Bier (and husband Jason), Laquita, Matthew, and Tommy; great-grandchildren Xander (Sweet Bear) and Alice (Sweet Angel); brother Andrew Stanert, brother-in-law, Anthony Graham; and sisters-in-law, Anna Marie Snitch (Kitten), Diane Graham, and Sonja Graham; and her many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Janet also had many dear friends. When you became a friend of Janet you became family. She made many unforgettable memories with her family and friends and was loved by all. The family would like to thank Dr. Iyer at Florida Cancer Specialists and the staff of Suncoast Hospice for the outstanding care they provided Janet to ensure that the family had more time with her. A service will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home & Crematory, 3710 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808, where visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Interment will immediately follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 North DuPont Highway, New Castle, DE 19720.
