Janet L. Caldwell, age 78, of Rexford, died Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. She was born September 17, 1942 in Gloversville, the daughter of the late Olin and Evelyn Burr Caldwell. She worked for an insurance company in New York City and later was employed by New York State in Albany. She was an avid pet lover and raised Afghan Hounds and rescued Greyhounds. Janet is survived by her friends Nelson, Linda, Sandy, Steve and Shelly Ann. Friends may call from 1 to 3 pm Wednesday, September 15 at Walrath & Stewart Funeral Home, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville. Burial will take place at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Animal Protection Foundation, 53 Maple Avenue, Scotia, NY 12302. Online condolences may be made at www.brbsfuneral.com
