Janet (Jay) Marie Cavolt, age 87, passed away peacefully April 11, 2024, in hospice care surrounded by her family. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 8, 1937. Jay grew up in the Philadelphia area and went to Nurses training, graduating in 1957 with an RN degree. She married a sailor, Paul E. Cavolt on September 9, 1958. They settled in the Chicago, IL area where they had 2 daughters, Janet Lee and Sandra Ann.

In the summer of 1970, the family vacationed in Rocky Mountain National Park in their little travel trailer "Stubby". Falling in love with the Colorado mountains, Paul gathered up the family and moved to Arvada the spring of 1971.

Jay worked as an RN, Director of Nurses at Mile High Nursing Home, retired from nursing and worked at Central Bank of Denver in the vault with certificates. She retired in April 1999.

Jay was an expert fisherwoman, often out fishing Paul during their many trips around the Colorado mountains.

Jay enjoyed fishing, traveling around Colorado, sewing, knitting, embroidery, crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.

After 54 years of marriage, Paul passed away in August of 2011. They are together again in heaven.

Jay is survived by her brother, Dick Northwood of Pennsylvania, her daughters, Janet (Darryl)& Sandi.
