"Three Rivers - Janet Beatrice (Dulude) Charette, 83, of Oak Street, passed away on March 18, 2014 in Wing Memorial Hospital. She was born October 1, 1930 in Three Rivers, MA, daughter of Alphonse J., Jr. and Marguerite E. (Fortier) Dulude. She was a lifelong resident of Three Rivers and a graduate of Palmer High. Janet worked as a bookkeeper for Three Rivers Office Machines for many years. She was a communicant of Divine Mercy Parish and member of the St. Anne's Sodality. Janet was a former director and instructor of CCD at the former St. Anne's Church. She was also a member of the Blue Army and a volunteer at the Palmer Food Share. Janet's passion in life was her devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 60 years, Normand R. Charette, along with her children, Dorcas R. Losaw and Raymond of Three Rivers, Richard J. Charette and Kathy of Carlisle, PA, Gerard N. "Ged" Charette and Jennifer Lanza of Three Rivers, Mary A. Ciejka and Pete of Three Rivers, Jean Paul Charette and Dawn of Gainesville, GA, Catherine A. Reed and Allen of Three Rivers and Matthew D. Charette and Deborah of Nashville, TN. She will be missed by 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Mémère Beatrice". She also leaves a brother, Wilfred "Pete" Dulude and his wife Lucy, of Feeding Hills, sister-in-law, Pat Dulude of Belchertown, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Angela Mae (1963), sister Rita and her husband Leroy Rogers and a brother Richard "Bonhomme" Dulude. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home for 9:00 AM on Monday, March 24, 2014 and follow to a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish. Interment will follow in the St. Anne Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Shriner's Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104."
