Janet Frances Distel

Janet F. Distel, 77, of Arvada, passed away September 9, 2020. Jan was the matriarch of the family whom enjoyed celebrating from the smallest moments to the largest celebrations. Jan was born in Great Falls, MT to Vivian & Melvin on Dec 31st, 1942 who was one of twelve children. She married Alexander Distel in Denver in 1970 and later moved to Arvada, CO in 1972 where she raised 3 children, Tracy, Mark and Jodie. Jan was very involved in her family. She loved her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Never did she miss a holiday or a birthday to celebrate. She helped raise and watch her Grandchildren and never missed a field day, field trip, school play, or Grandparents day. She enjoyed Sunday Church and breakfest to follow, BBQs, camping, fishing, bingo, soap operas, family gatherings, and slot machines. She had a love for music including Elvis, Dean Martin, Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, ALL Country music, and Neil Diamond. She loved just loved life and everyone and never complained. She did not hesitate to remind every person how she felt about them when she ended the conversation with †œI love you†�. She is survived by her husband, Alex and her children, Tracy (Harvey), Mark, and Jodie (Chad). She has four Grandchildren, Dillon (Chelsey), Bethany, Taylor, and Jordan and two Great Grandchildren, Nevaeh & Adelynn, †œshe did not hesitate to remind everyone how she felt about them†� Viewing will be Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 2-4pm at Aspen Arvada Mortuary, 6370 Union Street, Arvada, CO 80004. Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
