Janet "Chisholm" Williams

Janet (Chisholm) Williams passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, in Plymouth, CA at the age of 84 years. She was born May 15, 1937, to the late Gard and Gertrude Chisholm. Janet was born 4th generation Amador County and was a graduate of Amador High School. She also attended UC Davis, until she returned to marry her high school sweetheart, Earl and raise 3 children. Janet worked at the Amador County Courthouse in the Treasurer & Tax Collection office. She also owned her own business, "The Candlier" on Main Street Jackson, selling candles & gifts. During fair time, she was cashier & treasurer at Amador and Calaveras County fairs. While living at Peddler Hill during Earl's employment with Cal Trans, she worked at Bear River, where many fond memories were made with close friends, and friends she hadn't met yet. But perhaps Janet's favorite job was her love of cooking. Something her family & friends enjoyed and will forever remember her for. Anyone who was fortunate enough to receive one of her makings, was the recipient of her ultimate sign of love. Janet is survived by her husband of 65 years Earl Williams of Plymouth, daughters, Kelly Bechthold and Kathleen Williams, of Ione. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ricky, Brian (Tiffany), Steven (Eryn), Angelene (Matt), Christopher (Melanie), Katie (Reggie), Emily, Morgan; as well as 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Williams, son in law, Doug Bechthold, and brother Michael Chisholm. The family ask that you contribute to the charity of your choice.
