Janette Nichols Scott

Annie Janette Nichols Scott, age 93, passed away Wednesday morning at Beacon Place. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held 11:30 AM Saturday at Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church with Pastor Joseph Kim officiating. The interment will be private in Lakeview Memorial Park. Janette was born in Surry County, North Carolina on December 2, 1922 a daughter to William Brady Nichols and Sarah Jane Collins Nichols. She was married to the late John William Scott who passed away on August 6, 2001. She was a homemaker and a member of Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church. The family expresses their sincere thanks to the staff at Countryside Manor, Cone Hospital and Beacon Place for their loving care of Janette. Surviving are her daughters, Patricia Scott, Linda Scott Brandon and husband Willard Michael Brandon; sons, Rev. Larry William Scott and wife Rev. Selena Scott, David Lee Scott and wife Dawn Scott; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Janette was preceded in death by her grandsons, Martin Shane Scott and Andrew John Scott. The family will receive friends following the service at Lee's Chapel United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lee's Chapel UMC, 2303 Lee's Chapel Rd., Greensboro, NC 27405 or to Hospice and Palliative Care Of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
