Janice Carolyn Lowman Young

COLUMBIA - Janice L. Young, 70, of Columbia, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 28, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 6:00 PM at New Life Baptist Church, 2825 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC. Pastor John Hamilton will officiate. Born April 4, 1945, in Neeses, SC, she was the daughter of the late James P. Lowman and Ruth S Lowman. Janice was married to Richard F. Young of Tampa, Florida. They had two sons, Tony Michael Young and Richard F. Young, Jr. of Irmo. She is survived by her son, Richard F. Young, Jr.; grandsons, Franklin Ray Young and David Anthony McPherson; sisters, Mary Jane Metts, Judy L. West and Linda L. Minick, along with many loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Tony Michael Young. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church, 2825 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC, 29210.
