Janice Arlene Sousa
January 10th, 1933 - January 26th, 2017
Janice (Holbrook) Sousa of Willows passed away at her home January 26, 2017. Janice was born January 10, 1933, in Scotia, California, to Bernard and Idella (Thrap) Holbrook of Ferndale, California. She attended Ferndale High School and had fond memories being the drum major for the High School Band. On October 6, 1951, Janice married Joseph V. Sousa of Ferndale in Reno, Nevada. Janice was a dedicated housemaker. She is survived by sons Joseph Sousa, Jr. (Dana) of Redding, California, and David Sousa (Rhonda) of Willows, California, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Janice is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Sousa and her daughter Lorraine (Sousa) Ellis. A potluck celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at noon at the Jacinto Grange on County Road 39 outside of Willows. Please come, eat and visit with family and friends.
