Janice Story Stone Durham
February 25th, 1927 - October 6th, 2011
"Pinellas Park, Fl, Janice (Story) Stone Durham, 84, formerly of Belchertown, died peacefully on October 6 at her home with her loving husband, Frank, by her side. Born in Belchertown, February 25, 1927, she was the daughter of Herbert and Alice (Nutting) Story and lived there until the death of her first husband, Malcolm Stone, in 1999. While in Belchertown, Janice worked at the former Belchertown State School for many years, retiring as Head Housekeeper. She relocated to St. Petersburg following Malcolm's death to be near her three sisters. She later met and married Frank Durham, and enjoyed 8 years of a wonderful life together travelling, taking long walks, shopping and enjoying many of the simple things of life. Besides her husband, she will be missed by her sister Patricia Bronner and her husband Red of Pinellas Park, FL, her brother in law Arthur Page of St. Petersburg, FL, and sister in law Betty Story of Palmer along with her step children Tamara Rodd and family of St. Petersburg, FL, and Geoffrey Durham and family of Marion, IL, along with her nieces, Lenita Houston and family of Ashby, Sandra Dunbar and her family of Belchertown, Charlene Socha and her family of Belchertown, God-daughter Lori Keller and her family of Bottineau, ND, Wendy Story and family of Wilbraham, Susan Freeman and family of Palmer, and Beth Story of Upton. Besides her parents and husband, her siblings Mary Dunbar (and husband Donald), Virginia Page and Herbert Story preceded her in death. All services were private at her request. "
