Janne Susan Robertson

Janne Susan (Boyes) Robertson died Sunday, July 17, in Meridian, Idaho. Born May 6, 1945, while her father was stationed with the U.S. Army in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Earle and Elaine Boyes. Janne lived all her life in Idaho and was educated in Boise schools. Janne was a majorette for the Borah High School marching band and a graduate of the class of 1963. She married her high school sweetheart Chuck in 1963. They lovingly raised two daughters, Kimberly Ann and Tamara Kay. Janne worked at Boise Cascade for a time before staying home to raise her family full time. The family moved to Burley then Twin Falls where Janne joined Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc. as an independent contractor, building a large clientele, helping them decorate their homes and offices and training new recruits while working around her home activities. In the early ‘80s, the family moved back to Boise where Janne rebuilt her HI business again, servicing new clients, many of whom became life-long friends. She earned recognition and awards for high sales, including two free cruises to the Bahamas. The family enjoyed camping together, and in retirement Janne and Chuck enjoyed trips in their RV to Mt. Rushmore, Grand Canyon National Park, and many campgrounds closer to home. In 2008 they moved to a retirement community, where they enjoyed group activities and made many new friends. The weddings of their daughters and the births of grandchildren were special highlights. Time spent with family was always enjoyable! Scrapbooking, gardening and decorating her home were favorite hobbies for Janne, as well as getting together with friends. Survivors include husband, Charles (Chuck) Robertson; daughters, Kimberly Tucker (Randy) and Tamara Vik (Scott); grandchildren Hailey (Vik) and Jake Siebe; Spencer Vik; and Maxwell Tucker; and a great granddaughter, expected November 2022. Brother, Rick Boyes (Karen); nephew, Daniel Boyes; brother-in-law, Vaughn Robertson (Sandy) and their families. A memorial celebration of life will be held Sunday, August 14th, 2022, at 2:00 P.M., at the Garden Room at Cloverdale Funeral Home.
