Jason M. Rector

Jason M. Rector, 39, of Johnstown, NY, and most recently of Saratoga Springs, NY, went home peacefully to the Lord on Monday August 31, 2020. He was born in Amsterdam, NY on January 9, 1981 and is the son of David Rector and the late Debra M (Kozlowski) Rector who passed away on March 10, 1998. Survivors include his father, David Rector of Schenectady, NY, maternal grandfather, Honorable Aloysius Kozlowski of Amsterdam, brother, Joshua Rector of Johnstown, NY. Aunts and Uncles, Roxanne Hojohn of Maine, Rodney Rector of TX, Kevin (Rhonda) Kozlowski of Amsterdam, and Donna Shelmandine of Johnstown, NY. Cousins also survive. Besides his loving mother, Jason is predeceased by his grandmother who passed away on March 29, 2020 Jean M. (Slaveikis) Kozlowski. His Paternal grandparents, Eve and Don Rector. Jason was raised in Johnstown, NY. He attended Johnstown High School. He worked as a Bricklayer for the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local Union # 2 in Albany. Jason enjoyed music and playing the guitar and conga drums. He also was a very talented designer of jewelry. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday September 17, 2020 at 6:00PM at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY, with Father O. Robert DeMartinis presiding. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday prior to the funeral service from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Private burial will be in St. Casimir’s Cemetery, Amsterdam. Please wear a mask and follow NYS guidelines for Covid 19.
