Jason Spencer Stolebarger
December 12th, 1975 - April 10th, 2020
Jason Spencer Stolebarger, 44, died at home on Friday, April 10, 2020. Jason was born in Boone, North Carolina on December 12, 1975 to Roger and Selma Stolebarger. His family moved to Loveland, CO in 1979, where Jason attended elementary school, middle school and high school, graduating from Loveland High in 1994. Jason played LBA baseball, Loveland Youth Athletic Association football, Loveland High football and was a third-degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Jason loved just about all sports, especially the Colorado Rockies and most of all the Denver Broncos. Jason enjoyed camping, especially at Hermit Park, golfing and being outdoors. He worked for Woodward in Fort Collins before moving to Kalispell, MT where he lived for 10 years, working as a machinist before returning to Loveland to be near family. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and friend. Jason was loved and will be missed more than he could ever have known. Jason is survived by his parents Roger and Selma of Loveland; sisters Tammy Deterts of Estes Park, Julie (Kelly) Atkins of Loveland, Monica Stolebarger and Franklin Jones of Wellington and Missy Hopper of Cripple Creek. Jason is also survived by his Bronco Buddies; and good friend and ex-wife Jody Otte with whom he spent 15 years of his life. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents Herby and Martha Thomas and Cliff and Velda Stolebarger and his brother-in-law, Larry Deterts. Jason was also preceded in death by his very special canine buddies, Gilli, Lady, Ginger Bear and Jake. The family will plan a memorial service for later in the summer. Services at a later date
