Jasudben Shah

Biography Jasudben Talakchand Shah, age 95, of Kernersville, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at home with her loving family around her. She was born on May 10, 1916 in Rajpur, India to the late Ravchand and Hariben Shah. She married Talakchand N. Shah in 1935. Jasudben was the devoted mother of a large family that eventually spread across several continents. She had eight children, 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shah lived in Ahmedabad, India until 1988 when she moved halfway around the world to be near her children in the U.S. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Talakchand N. Shah. Jasudben also outlived two sons, Chandrakant and Kirti; two daughters Bharti and Kalpna; and one grandson, Pinal. She is survived by her son Dinesh (Anita) Shah of Kernersville, NC; daughter Hasumati (Narendra) Shah of Gilbert, AZ; daughter Sudha Shah of Kernersville, NC and daughter Jayshree (Rajesh) Shah of Kernersville, NC. Surviving grandsons include: Bimal (Sneha) Shah of Fresno, CA; Maulik (Purvi) Shah of Fresno, CA; Pratik (Neeta) Shah of Ahmedabad, India; Sunil (Daxa) Shah of Ahmedabad, India; Jalpan (Purvi) Shah of Ahmedabad, India; Kaushal (Rachna) Shah of Ahmedabad, India and Timothy (Stacy) Shah of Kernersville, NC. Surviving granddaughters include: Beena (Manish) Shah of Mesa, AZ; Krinna (Sujit) Magiyawala; Miku (Dhaval) Patel; Avni (Rupesh) Shah of Ahmedabad, India; Sheila Clendenning of Winston-Salem, NC; Lisa Shah of High Point, NC and Sarah (Carlos) Bernal of Gainesville, FL. Jasudben is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren. Family visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on March 30, 2012 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home in Kernersville followed by a cremation service in Winston-Salem. Service Information
