Jayantilal Ranchhodji (J.R.) Mehta, 78, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2016 surrounded by his family. Jayantibhai was born in Devda, Gujarat on May 24, 1937. He graduated from L.D. Engineering College in Amedahbad, Gujarat where he received his BSc degree in Civil Engineering. Jayantibhai was married to Nayantikaben on February 14, 1965. He immigrated to the United States in 1975 and lived in Charlotte for the past 37 years. Jayantibhai had an extensive career working in the nuclear power industry and he was a Pioneer member of the Hindu Center. He is survived by his wife and four daughters, Minaxi, Bina, Hina and Neha, their spouses, and his eight grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00, on April 2, 2016 at: J.B.
