Jean Frances Albrecht

Our beautiful mom passed away on February 19, 2017 after her last battle with pneumonia. Jean was born in Moorhead, MN on October 25, 1927 to John Lawrence Peters and Catherine Fitzgerald. She was the fifth of six children. Paul, Gertrude, Margaret Anna Mae all preceded her in death, and she is survived by Helen, the youngest.After Living most of her youth in Minnesota, Jean decided to spread her wings in 1951 and move to Seattle. Hopping in her girlfriends red convertible, she drove to Oakland, CA, then boarded a train for Seattle. She worked for Frederick Nelsons for a short time before getting hired at Boeing where she worked as an office clerk form 1951 1954. Jean was always a very social person who liked people and having fun, so its no surprise that she met William (Bill) Albrecht at a party in 1953. Bill was attending the University of Washington playing football for the Huskies when they met. Their courtship lasted a year and were married on Dec. 27, 1954. Jean and Bill had 4 children: Kathleen Helen, Laura Jean, Michael John, and Nancy Louise. With the exception of a few years living in Japan, Jean and Bill lived and raised their children in Lynnwood, WA. She loved and was so very proud of all her grandchildren: Matthew, Scott, Chloe, Katie, Steven, Madison and Brock, and her great grandchild, Macsen.Jean was beautiful on the outside, but she was known for her beauty on the inside. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who always put others before herself. She has touched so many lives with her kindness and smile, and will be dearly missed by those who knew her. Jean was a practicing Catholic throughout her life, even when she was unable to attend mass. She was a woman of faith who believed in God and the power of prayer. She considered God her Best Friend. A celebration of Jeans life will be held on March 2, 2017, 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Parish, 6511 176 th St. SW, Lynnwood, WA 98037.
