Jean Marie Borlase

Jean Marie Borlase of Sun City, Florida, passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 95. Jean was born on August 4, 1928, to Christine and Alexander Cypra in Newark, N. J. She worked in a radio shop and one day sold a radio to a handsome man named George W. Borlase. They were married on March 29, 1947. They eventually built a home in Florham Park, N.J., where they raised George Jr., Carol and James. Jean worked as a secretary for W.T. Grants and then Overlook Hospital in medical records in Summit, N.J. Jean and George later moved to Holmes Beach, Fl., and started a small business. Once retired, Jean pursued her love of daily walks, her pool and family. Surviving her husband’s passing and progressive macular degeneration, she chose to spend her remaining years as part of the community in Sun City, Fl. Jean was able to take trips to help deplete her “bucket list”. “Keep Moving” was her motto. Jean is survived by her daughter- Carol Zeigler (John), sons- George (Lois), James and 7 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren
