In Loving Memory
Gilbert, SC - Jean Cook, 82, passed away Monday evening Sept 2, 2024. She was born Jan 1, 1942 in Hutchinson, WV. Jean was preceded in death by brother, JR and sisters, Pearl and Amy.
Jean is survived by her loving husband, Allen.
Jean was a Real Estate Broker in Shepherdsville, KY. Her interest in two way radio led to her being the Communication Officer for Bullitt County, KY, and she held the Amateur Radio Emergency Prepared NET weekly for several years. Their shared interest in two way radio is how Allen and Jean met. When they moved to South Carolina, after Hugo, they established emergency communications for Orange County DES for two days (now silent key WD4CJQ).
