Jean P. Desrosiers, 96 of St. Petersburg, FL passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was born the oldest of three daughters to the late William S. Owen and Priscilla Owen on February 24th, 1928, in Bridgeport, CT. She graduated from Harding High School in 1945. Jean married Regis E Desrosiers in 1949, a union that lasted 65 years. They lived in Monroe, Connecticut until 1977 when they moved back to Bridgeport to own and operate Parsell’s Marina and Restaurant. In 1986, they retired and moved to St Petersburg, FL., where they had honeymooned. Jean loved to travel and particularly enjoyed boating. Regis and Jean traveled the Eastern Seaboard on their trawler capping off a lifelong love of the water. Jean was a health and fitness devotee, leading her church's exercise class for 20 years into her 80’s. She worked circles around people half her age, walking daily well into her 90’s. Jean was happy in Florida until the end of her life.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Laseter of Vermont, Renee Desrosiers (James Farley) of Maryland, Granddaughter Maggie Farley of Virgina and Sister Eileen Lubik of South Carolina.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 29th, 2024 at 11:30 am at Pasadena Community Church, Goodwin Chapel.
