Jean Marie Wagner

August 17th, 1928 - August 23rd, 2023

In Loving Memory Jean Marie Wagner It is with great sorrow, Tom Wagner and Judy Cook announce the passing of their mother Jean Marie Wagner. She passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on August 23, 2023. Early that morning clouds lifted and Jean was ushered into heaven. Jean was born on August 17, 1928 and loved by her parents, Joseph and Jennie Prochaska in Minnesota. She graduated from Catholic school and soon after she ventured to Colorado where she met her future husband, Harry Wagner, a Navy veteran. She returned to Minnesota and shortly after Harry knew she was the lady for him. He went to Minnesota and asked her hand in marriage. Jean moved to Colorado and got married. Jean worked as a secretary, and Harry as a United States postal worker. They enjoyed many adventures together, going to the mountains, camping, hiking, vacationing, hanging out with friends, and most of all dancing. Jean's marriage to Harry brought two beautiful and loving children, Tom Wagner, and Judy Cook, which always brought her much joy. She was more than happy to be the central figure in her children’s lives. Jean had many close friends over the years. She shared her love for volunteering at various organizations, loved playing cards with her friends, enjoyed the theater as well as crafting, was grateful for all the meals shared with family and friends. She was a well loved member of the community. Jean is survived by two children, Tom Wagner and Judy Cook, her grandchildren Courtney Carlee Jean Cook, Tyler Cook and Natasha Wagner as well as four great-grandchildren along with many family members. Jean impacted so many lives. She was quick to smile and laugh and endeared so many to her. Her zest for life was contagious. Jean will truly be missed by so many in the lives she impacted over the years. A visitation will be held at 10 AM on September 20th at Spirit of Christ in the chapel located at 7400 W 80th Ave, Arvada. Mass will be held at 11 AM and a luncheon to follow immediately after.
