Jeanne D. Bauer, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2020. Legacy A woman well ahead of her time, Jeanne graduated from Glassboro State Teachers’ College with a BS in Elementary Education and later earned her Master’s Degree from Temple University, which afforded her the opportunity to complete a few graduate courses at Harvard University. Jeanne worked as an elementary/special education teacher for the Woodbury school system, spending many years educating and nurturing her students, who she followed the progress of and maintained friendships with throughout their adult lives. Jeanne thoroughly enjoyed reading and loved McDonald’s coffee, but her true passions were trying her luck at the Casinos, cheering on her beloved New York Yankees, especially Derek Jeter, and betting on the horses. The five people she always wanted to meet were: Frank Sinatra, Paul Newman, F.D.R, Derek Jeter, and Ron Turcotte. Jeanne will be dearly missed by her family and friends who dearly loved this special woman. Family She is the beloved aunt of Ed Bauer(Sharon), John Bauer(Linda), Michele Boyd, Nancy Juhring(Joe), Paul Bauer(Grace), Kim Flaer(Steve) & the late Jeanne Womac as well as several great nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and nephew (with one on the way!); loving sister of the late Ed, Paul, Bob, Ernie & Frank. Jeanne is also predeceased by her parents Louie & Sophie Bauer, and her beloved cats, Jeter and Fluffy.
