Jeannette M. Ahern

Jeannette M. Ahern, 73, of Parker, CO, passed away peacefully with family at her side on November 14, 2019. Loving Wife of 57 years to Dave Ahern. Beloved Mother of David (Luz Fery) Ahern of Columbia, Stephen (Amy) Ahern of Indiana and Kim (Dan) Wills of Parker, CO. Nana of Zach and Garrett Ahern of Colorado. This is a very solemn day for Spring Valley Golf Club. Too many of us who grew up at Spring Valley, Jeannette is the matriarch of the Spring Valley family. There was seldom a day, regardless of the weather, that Jeannette and Dave were not seen playing the golf course. Jeannette brought a fierce competitiveness and focus to the game of golf. She understood the traditions of the game and passed that on to so many of us. Whether it be during Women's League, Battle of the Sexes, Spring Valley Cup, Friday Afternoon Couples, weekend tournaments, Friday night dinner service, or a game of Mahjong, Jeannette was always a calm and comforting influence. Simply saying she will be missed is a tragic understatement. Her presence, support, and love for Spring Valley Golf Club will not be forgotten, and rather honored for years to come. We ask that in this time, you keep Dave and her family in your thoughts and prayers. Jeannette was a lover of all animals, an accomplished equestrian, 4-H Leader, Tai Chi Certified Instructor, and talented country dancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Spring Valley Golf Club, 42350 County Road 17 21, Elizabeth, CO 80107 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Jeannette's memory be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League, 2080 S.
