Jeffery Ray Mathes

Jeffery Ray Mathes, age 51 of Kingsport, passed away July 3, 2013. He was a loving father and a good husband. He was preceded in death by his father James D. Mathes; grandparents Pat and Lois Lane. He is survived by his wife, Pam Mathes of the home, son, Dalton Mathes of the home; daughter, Amanda Marton and husband Matthew of North Carolina; step son, Jimmy McCready of Blountville; mother and step father, Bobbie Jean and Coy Williams of Kingsport; three sisters, Robin Mathes of Johnson City, Kay Wallen of Kingsport; Jennifer Faye Smith of Kingsport; two brothers, John Mathes and wife, Vickie of Kingsport; Tim Mathes and wife, Jenny of Ft. Blackmore, Virginia; two grandchildren, Kyleigh Brooke Marton and Matthew Daniel Marton; special nephew, Jamie Mathes; and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private with burial to follow with Rev. Terry McClain, officiating. Pallbearers will be co-workers with the Corrections Department of Sullivan County Sherriff's office. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Mathes family.
