Jeffrey Charles Barker, 71, a resident of Shoreline, Washington, passed away on September 19, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with pulmonary hypertension and heart failure. Born on August 12, 1953, in Seattle, Jeff’s life was defined by his dedication to family, his remarkable skill with his hands, and his deep passion for music.

Jeff was known for his mechanical aptitude and his love for classic cars. His intelligence, quiet kindness, and sharp sense of humor made him someone everyone loved to be around. He had a deep appreciation for music, especially the Beatles, whose songs were the soundtrack of his life and echoed his joyful, easygoing spirit.

A true craftsman, Jeff spent his life working with his hands, excelling as a welder, amateur mechanic, and sheet metal fabricator. His talents led him to become an entrepreneur, building a successful business alongside his loving wife, Kathy. Together, they spent many years side-by-side, creating a life and a legacy that reflected their commitment to hard work and their enduring love for each other.

Above all, Jeff was fiercely devoted to his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy, and his four children: Julie, Kelly, Michael, and Kevin, and three siblings Cheryl, Scott and Teresa. Jeff was also a proud grandfather to six grandchildren—Samantha, Jordan, Erin, Zachary, Jorgia, and Jacob—and recently celebrated the birth of his first great-grandchild, Bailey Kathleen.

In honor of Jeff’s love for classic cars, a celebration of his life will be held in Spring/Summer 2025, in conjunction with the car shows he loved attending with his cars. Details will be shared closer to the event for friends and family who wish to gather, remember, and celebrate his life.

Jeffrey will be deeply missed, and his memory cherished by all who knew him.
