Jeffrey Grove
September 18th, 1958 - January 23rd, 2019
Life Story Jeffrey “Jeff” Edward Grove passed away Wednesday January 23, 2019 at a local hospital after a brief and sudden illness. He was born September 18, 1958 to John and Helen Grove (Luster) in Salmon Idaho. He attended grade school in Weiser and Bliss and graduated from Mullan (Idaho) High School in 1977. Jeff attended the University of Idaho where he received his Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education. He began his teaching career in Horseshoe Bend Idaho, and later moved and continued teaching at Grangeville and then on to Meridian (West Ada) School District. Early on in his teaching career, he taught woodshop, then went on to teach a variety of other subjects including Video Technology at Meridian High School and Industrial Technology/Pre-Engineering at Lowell Scott Middle School. Jeff retired in May 2018 after 31 years of teaching. In May of 1994, Jeff’s Aunt Marlene had an idea…to fix up Jeff with the therapist who came to his Grandma Sylvia’s home to help her after her stroke. The next time Linda Biddle came for her therapy session, Jeff ‘just happened’ to be visiting. Their first date was just a few days later. They dated for many years (Linda was so patient) and married on March 27, 2000 in Henderson Nevada. Jeff and Linda’s first home was in Boise, Idaho and they welcomed their daughter, Jordan, in 2003. They later had their ‘dream home’ built in Eagle Idaho where they have resided since May of 2016. Jeff loved to go bird hunting and fly fishing with family and friends. But his true passion was woodcarving. Many will remember him by the beautiful hand carved antique Santa ornaments that he gave as gifts at Christmas. Jeff also enjoyed watching movies (John Wayne, Star Wars and Jason Bourne in particular), going to football games, and spending time on the patio of his new home with family and friends. Jeff is survived by his wife, Linda and their daughter, Jordan; daughter, Jennifer and husband, Luke Braun and their children; stepson, William Schaeffer and his children; mother. Helen; younger sister, Erika and her husband, Rob Pook; sister-in-law, Linda G. Grove and many loved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, John; brother, Greg; mother-in-law, Mildred Biddle, and father-in-law, Medford Biddle. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the benefit of his daughter Jordan has been established. Contributions can be made out to: Linda Grove FBO (for the benefit of) Jordan Grove Capital Educators Credit Union 275 S Stratford Meridian, Idaho 83642 or dropped off at any Capital Educators Credit Union location. *Please see "Service Information" tab for service details. *

We Entrusted Jeffrey Grove's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
