Jeffrey Scott Hammerstad

Jeffrey Scott Hammerstad was born in Yakima, WA on May 14, 1965 to Charles Hammerstad and Beverly (Krueger) Hammerstad. He passed away March 10, 2015 surrounded by his husband, family and friends. Jeff attended Eisenhower High School and graduated in 1983. He went on to attend Central Washington University where he studied Business and Finance. Over the years he worked for Boeing, Computer Associates, and for the last 12 1/2 years he worked for Starbucks Corporation as a Senior IT Functional Analyst. He loved Starbucks and made many lifelong friends there. Jeff loved classic cars and attending car shows with his Dad. He loved to travel with trips to Amsterdam, Hawaii, Boston, Vancouver, Portland, San Francisco, and most recently cruises to Alaska and Mexico. Animated movies and 80’s music were also things he enjoyed, but mostly he just loved being with friends and family, and his beloved pugs, Lucy & Zoe. Jeff and his husband Jeffrey were married on September 7, 2013 at their home. They had been together over 12 years. Jeff is survived by his husband, Jeffrey Caudill, his parents, Charles and Beverly Hammerstad, his mother-in-law, Rosie Caudill, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joel and Rachel Caudill, brother-in-law, John Caudill, nieces Emma and Paige Caudill, and many aunts and uncles, cousins, and extended family. Jeff also had many close friends that were like family to him including Dan and Janet Baker, Teresa Wylie, Brady and Christina Martin, Marci Taylor, Nick and Glenda Holbrook, Ronda Leonard, Nancy Klein, and many others. A Celebration of Life will be held at Pioneer Park Pavilion in Puyallup, at 1pm on Thursday, March 19th. Casual Attire please. Donations in Jeff’s memory may be made to your local food bank.
