Jeffrey "Jeff" James Petersen

Jeffrey (Jeff) James Petersen, 35 Son of Barbara Petersen, Parker, CO. Brother to Cori (Gary) Geare, Aurora, CO and Scott (Regan) Petersen, Denver, CO. Uncle to Andrew and Coire (Kelly) Geare, Lauren Wray, Cole, Ryder, Sutton and Hattie Petersen. Nephew to Pat and Jim Hidahl, Denver, CO. Cousin to Andy (Linda) Hidahl, Aurora, CO. Jeff was preceded in death by his Father, James (Jim) Petersen, Grandparents Christian and Margaret Petersen, Lawrence (Larry) and Norma Bianchini, Uncle Lawrence (Larry) Bianchini and Cousin Nick Hidahl. Jeff grew up in Littleton, CO and graduated from Arapahoe High School. Jeff earned his BA in Communications at The University of Montana, Missoula, MT. After college Jeff worked for Cigna as an Underwriter. As a native of Colorado, Jeff was an avid sports fan to all of Colorado’s sports teams, especially the Denver Broncos. Jeff enjoyed spending time outdoors with his beloved dog Ozzy and attending concerts with his friends (especially The Dave Matthews Band). Jeff enjoyed all outdoor sports, especially biking, camping, fishing and golfing. Jeff had an infectious smile, a joyous laugh and had a dry sense of humor. Jeff loved deeply, was kindhearted, willing to give anything he had to others and was always the life of the party. Jeff passed away on Saturday August 15th, 2020 in Parker, CO. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 18th, 2020 at 7:00 for his family, close friends and colleagues at the PACE Center in Parker, Colorado. The family suggests casual dress attire. Jeff was cremated and will be buried with his father at Fairmount Cemetery in Denver at a later date.
